Oh, goodness. I am sorry to hear about your dead ants. Will the company send you more? I am a big fan of bugs, although I have never had an ant farm. I like watching bugs outside AND in my house, especially spiders. This is a good website for bugs: http://whatsthatbug.com/ . One time, I had one of these: http://whatsthatbug.com/potato.html in my living room... It was big, and rather scary-looking, but we then found out it is harmless.

I just learned from a very wise professor that the first question one needs to answer when analyzing a piece of art, whether it is written, filmed, drawn, painted, danced, sculpted or otherwise, is "Did I like it?" The second question is then to be, "Why (not)?"

I liked Bridge because the relationships were realistic even though the setting was a bit fantastical, and also because it made me cry. I like anything that makes me feel strong emotion.

My favorite teach was Mr. Frank for 2nd grade. I remember making homemade TV commercials as a class project. He also set up a refrigerator box in the classroom that he painted black on the inside with dayglow stars and planets (styrofoam balls) and then had a tape recorder with him doing all the voices in a pretend Star Trek scene. You got to go in there if you were being good.

toy: legos, definitely.
game: I like lots of games, but mostly word games like scrabble
teacher: I have had many great teachers. My current three are all wonderful, but I have to say that Jincy, who teaches me to write, is my current favorite. The best teachers of all, though, are the ones that teach you to like a subject you had hated up until then. When you love a subject, almost any teacher will do. When you hate a subject, sometimes even a so-so teacher is not enough. A really great teacher can help you understand and even find things to like about any subject.

When you think about it, your options are limitless. You can write about your thoughts, plans, or experiences. Of course, you may want to think about want to do with your blog. Is it personal diary that you are allowing the world to see? Do you feel your voice contributes in some way to the world?

This is your little piece of the Internet, do with it what you will.
